Terms and Conditions – The UK Paleo Awards
References to ‘we’ and ‘us’ within these Terms and Conditions refer to ‘UK Paleo Awards’ (a not-for-profit division of Healthy Perspective and The Net Advantage Ltd).
It is a condition of entry that all entrants will be bound by these terms and conditions. These rules include any instructions sent out with the Awards details.
We cannot accept entries after the closing date of 31st May 2017.
Entries will only be accepted if they are submitted online using the entry forms on this website, completed in full and in each case with the Entry Fee paid in full.
To preserve the integrity of what constitutes a ‘Paleo Lifestyle’, we will refuse any entries where the entry is not in respect of a Paleo product, business or blog, as defined in the eligibility criteria for each category.
We have the right to refuse entries that do not submit complete information, as requested in the entry form.
Our decision is final and we will retain the entry fee on refused entries, to cover our administration costs. The award organisers, judges, promoters, and sponsors will not enter into any correspondence or discussion regarding any decision made or on the merits or otherwise of any entry. We reserve the right to disqualify any entry which is deemed to be against the rules or against the spirit of the rules.
Ensure you full read the criteria relating to the category you are entering to ensure you meet the expected standard before processing your entry.
You will need to complete separate entry forms for multiple entries.
All entries will be sent to the UK Paleo Awards judging panel to ensure entries are valid and reduce the shortlist per category to 7 finalists (where over 7 entries are received for any one category).
The judges are independent (wherever possible) and have been selected for their knowledge in the various category areas. Their decisions are final in every category. For categories with public vote as well as judging, the combined scores from judging and voting will be combined to produce a final score.
Due to expected volume of entries, we will not be able to contact all entrants individually if their application is unsuccessful, we will only publish the shortlist for each category on this website. Entrants are welcome to email us for feedback.
Any entries cancelled before 31st May 2017 can request a refund (less Paypal or Stripe fees). Otherwise, entry fees are non-refundable.
Shortlisted entrants will be contacted for further information, samples (where appropriate) and pictures to enable judging to be carried out. Entrants must supply this information by 31st July to enable judging to take place.
Any information, samples and pictures received after this date may disqualify the entrant from the UK Paleo Awards process. Our decision is final and we will retain the entry fee on disqualified entries, to cover administration costs. We will not enter into correspondence in this situation.
Products must be available to buy in store or online to UK consumers by 31st May 2017. Products still in the development stage are not yet eligible for these awards.
Successful finalists will be asked to submit tasting samples (sufficient for a judging panel of 5 people), and supplementary information, by 30th June 2017. Failure to provide this will mean disqualification from the UK Paleo Awards.
Products supplied for judging must have been made according to normal production processes and in no way different to those sold to the public (full retail size). The entrant must ensure the products sent will be in date for consumption throughout the judging process wherever possible, or otherwise notify us when sending the samples of any short shelf-life (the judging process will occur from 1st August to 30 September 2017).
There is a maximum limit of 5 entries per business, product or blogger. Multiple product entries are welcomed, up to a maximum of 5 entries. Entries by bloggers across multiple blogger categories are also welcomed. Entries must be accompanied by a submitted entry form and payment processed for the entry to be accepted.
Only specific products, not entire product ranges, will be accepted as valid entries for the food & drink categories.
Entry fees will be retained upon disqualification by us to cover administration costs.
Details of where and how to send samples and ancillary information will be provided to successful entrants upon announcement of the shortlist. Any photographs submitted may be used by us for marketing purposes.
We will prepare products for tasting according to the printed instructions on the packs in which the products are sold.
The Awards are not open to employees or contractors of the UK Paleo Awards or any person directly or indirectly involved in the organisation or running of them, or their family members.
We reserve the right to change the categories, deadline dates or the judging panel without prior notice.
We will not be held responsible for correcting company or product names that have been submitted incorrectly by the entrant.
The award organisers, judges or sponsors of the awards cannot accept responsibility for the validity of claims made by entrants, although care will be taken to verify details provided.
We reserve the right to amend the judging criteria or terms and conditions if deemed necessary but will remain within the spirit of the published criteria/terms & conditions.
We reserve the right not to make awards in any category if the standard of entry does not warrant it.
