Have you created and sell the best Paleo or Paleo-Friendly drink in the UK? If so, you could be the winner of this category: the best Paleo Drink of the Year.
Examples: Kombucha, bone broth, coconut water, maple water, birch water, green smoothies, nut milks, (paleo) hot chocolate, water kefir.
Come back in 2019 to enter!
Please check the Entry Fees page for details of cost of entry.
Who Should Apply?
You sell (direct to the public or via retailers) a liquid-based product that the public can consume as a drink.
The drink should be made to the specification of the Paleo diet. We are aware that our ancestors most likely only drank water; this category is for products made with Paleo-compliant ingredients.
Your product must not contain any ingredients in the ‘What is not Paleo’ section of our Ultimate UK Paleo Guide.
If your product contains any ingredients in ‘The Grey Area’ of our Ultimate UK Paleo Guide, you may still enter your product but your product may be marked negatively with products that have no items in ‘the Grey area’.
Drinks that contain any refined sugar will not be eligible. Drinks that contain high levels of naturally-occurring sugar will also not be eligible. Drinks that contain ‘natural’ sweeteners are eligible but may fair unfavourably compared to drinks without sweeteners.
Please refer to the Ultimate UK Paleo Guide for a full list of what ingredients are, and are not, Paleo for the purposes of the UK Paleo Awards.
If you have any other questions in respect of the eligibility of your product, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have multiple drinks products, you may submit more than one in this category.
Entrants will be expected to provide sufficient full-sized samples (in normal retail packaging) of their drink for judging. They may also need to complete further questions as to how ‘Paleo’ their drink product is.
How is the Award Decided?
Once entries close, a high-level check will be carried out by the judging panel to ensure all entries are valid. The judges’ decision is final and they will be unable to enter into correspondence on the matter.
Where over 7 entrants are received in a category, they will be reduced down to 7 finalists. The judges’ decision is final and they will be unable to enter into correspondence on the matter. No refund is possible if your product or business does not make the final 7.
This category is based on a combination of public votes (collated on this website) and the judging panel. Please read The Awards Process page for details of the judging and voting process.
A winner and runner-up will be announced for this category.
