Do you make and sell something that’s quite unique in the Paleo food or drink sector? Or do you offer a product that's not food or drink-related but is new to the Paleo sector, such as skincare, cookery courses or online courses?
If it's food and drink, maybe it’s brand new to the market and hasn’t been seen before – unusual ingredients or a different production method?
Then this is the category for you!
Examples of unique new products we’ve seen recently – mayonnaise, avocado oil, grain-free seed pasta, duck crackling, insect-based products, coconut jerky, meat protein bars, maple and birch water, seed butter.
The closing date for entries is 25th May 2018 at midnight.
Please check the Entry Fees page for details of cost of entry.
Who Should Apply?
For food and drink products: You sell (direct to the public or via retailers) a food or drink product that the public can consume.
The food or drink product should be made to the specification of the Paleo diet.
For non-food or drink products: You create a product that can be purchased from you to assist the purchaser in leading a paleo lifestyle.
Your product is new to the market and offers something different or unique to Paleo consumers.
Your product must not contain any ingredients in the ‘What is not Paleo’ section of our Ultimate UK Paleo Guide.
If your product contains any ingredients in ‘The Grey Area’ of our Ultimate UK Paleo Guide, you may still enter your product but your product may be marked negatively with products that have no items in ‘the Grey area’.
Please refer to the Ultimate UK Paleo Guide for a full list of what ingredients are, and are not, Paleo for the purposes of the UK Paleo Awards.
We strongly recommend that you read more about The Awards Process and our Terms & Conditions before submitting your entry. If you have any other questions in respect of the eligibility of your product, please email us at email@example.com.
If you have multiple food and drink products, you may submit more than one in this category.
Entrants will be expected to provide sufficient full-sized samples (in normal retail packaging) of their product for judging. They may also need to complete further questions as to how ‘Paleo’ their product is.
How is the Award Decided?
Once entries close on 25th May, a high-level check will be carried out by the judging panel to ensure all entries are valid. The judges’ decision is final and they will be unable to enter into correspondence on the matter.
Where over 7 entrants are received in a category, they will be reduced down to 7 finalists. The judges’ decision is final and they will be unable to enter into correspondence on the matter. No refund is possible if your product or business does not make the final 7.
This category is based on a combination of public votes (collated on this website) and the judging panel. Please read The Awards Process page for details of the judging and voting process.
A winner and runner-up will be announced for this category.
